What Would You Like to Know?

Do you have a shop?

We certainly do! 1/70 Andrew Street, Wynnum QLD. Drop your car in for a tint service and wander around Wynnum while you wait, browse the wonderful local shops, see a movie, have a coffee, or visit the waterfront and chill in the sea breeze. We'll take care of your vehicle and contact you the moment it's ready to be picked up.

How long does it take?

It takes 3-4 hours to tint the average car. Of course this depends on the complexity of the vehicle and the number of windows it has. Generally add an extra half hour per window pair.

What payment types do you take?

Currently, we take bank transfer, online payment (card payments), AFTERPAY, and cash. Payments will need to be cleared before we begin tinting.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes. All of our automotive window tint installations include a lifetime warranty covering peeling, bubbling, cracking, and fading under normal conditions.

Aren't all tints the same? Why aren't you charging $100 like people on Facebook?

Not all tints are equal. We use Avery Dennison tint which comes with a lifetime warranty and is guaranteed against fading. We've replaced more than a few $100 tints for customers whose tint faded within a few months.

How long before I can wind my windows down after tinting?

We recommend waiting at least 48 hours before lowering your windows to allow the film to properly cure and bond to the glass.

My car is already tinted, can you remove the old tint first?

We sure can! Just book a custom job, let us know the details and we'll get back to you ASAP.

Are any of your tints darker than legal?

We can do darker tints but will not be held responsible if you're required to remove it.

Cancellation fees?

We don't have cancellation fees, however, we ask that you give us plenty of notice if you do need to cancel, so we can use the booking time again.

What if i change my mind?

We're happy to discuss options with you before we tint the car and can show you roughly how the tint will look on your vehicle. After the tint is on, it's unfortunately too late.

How much cooler will it make my car?

While we can't give you an exact number, it's generally proported that automotive window tint can lower vehicle temperatures by up to 8 degrees Celsius. Avery Dennison NR Series tint has great heat rejection and up to 94% glare reduction, with minimal reflective effect. It also blocks 99+% of harmful UV.

Do you tint houses?

We don't offer flat glass tinting, you can find trusted local specialists who do.

How much does car window tinting cost in Brisbane?

Can you tint vehicles with existing factory privacy glass?

Yes. Factory privacy glass can still benefit from heat-rejecting film. We can recommend the best option depending on your desired appearance and heat reduction goals.

What’s the darkest legal tint in Queensland?

In Queensland, the darkest legal tint for most side and rear windows is typically 35% VLT. We can help you choose a shade that suits your style while remaining compliant with local laws.

What Is a Sunstrip?

A sunstrip is a dark tint band applied across the top portion of your front windscreen. At Tyce Tints, our sunstrips are installed using premium 5% film on the top 10% of the windscreen to stay road legal while improving driving comfort.

What’s the difference between ceramic and carbon window tint?
